Pre-project analytics
Previously we have published an article devoted to turnkey web-site creation. The article has developed an idea of the turnkey web-site creation in our opinion. Pre-project analytics is the first thing to be done as a part of the site creation. The work is implemented by a specialist named an UX/UI researcher. What is the pre-project analytics?
It is a set of works on assessing a client’s web-site theme carried out in order to highlight significant data, which will directly influence the web-site visitors` activity and conversion into the company customers. When creating the web-site, the UX/UI researcher should keep in mind both general usability requirements, and the options specific to the concrete theme. In what way is the pre-project analytics carried out?
Firstly, the UX/UI researcher contacts the customer, finds out everything needed about his business overall, as well as about what he would like to upload to the site. Then the marketer formulates and asks extra questions. Then the competitor sites are researched. On the one hand, they are the sites of companies considered by the customer to be competitive, on the other hand, the sites considered by the search engines as extremely theme-related. Often these lists do not coincide partially or completely.
Then, in accordance with the information gained, the theme analyzed, general usability requirements, and, of course, experience, the UX/UI researcher creates a document describing the requirements for the future web-site to the fullest. Later this document is a guide directing rest web-site creation.
